This growing habit, often described as cognitive offloading, can reduce concentration and make people less confident in making decisions without digital assistance. Instead of allowing systems to fully replace human reasoning, experts recommend using AI as a collaborative tool that supports brainstorming, research, and productivity while still requiring users to think critically and verify information independently. Some specialists have promoted a “think first, prompt second” mindset, arguing that human judgment must remain central even as AI capabilities continue to advance.
